Join us this week as we explore Romans 12:1-2, where Paul urges us, in view of the mercies of God, to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is our true worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that we may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God. The Christian life is a response to and enabled by God’s mercies, the comprehensive gift of salvation through Christ’s death and resurrection that redeems us from darkness and grants hope of resurrection. Its substance is offering ourselves as living sacrifices, shifting from temple rituals so that we become priests, the temple, and the sacrifice in a total life orientation of true worship. The mechanism is refusing conformity to this age’s patterns while our minds are renewed, engaging our whole selves—heart, body, and mind—as we contemplate the Lord instead of the influences forming us. The goal is becoming people who test and approve God’s will because we love what is good, pleasing, and perfect. Surrender, renew, and discern—remember His mercies, lay down what hinders union with Him, and trust His better way. Watch on YouTube, our website—or listen on your favorite podcast app.
