Faith Promise 2013! What is Faith Promise? Every year, we at Anacortes Christian Church take time to focus on the missionaries we support locally and abroad. Over the course of the weekend, we take time to celebrate, reflect, and pray about God’s call upon our lives to “Go and make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:18-20).” More than this, Faith Promise is our main fundraising event for financially supporting our missionaries. It works like this: We challenge one another to pray about whether and how much God would have us give to support missions. We respond with a promise to give as the Lord leads, and we trust in faith that He will provide the resources beyond our normal means. To date, it has always been amazing to see God fulfill Faith Promises. In fact, Missions giving tends to regularly exceed the amount pledged in Faith Promises – one would expect it to be the other way around! Praise God!
