What Kind of God Would He Be if He Didn’t Get Angry?

From Pastor John Douglas’ “Thoughts for the Day.”

Good Morning: Isaiah 8-12
What kind of God would He be if He didn’t get angry. If he stood by and watched the powerful slay the innocent. If  He ignored the cries of children watching brutal acts of terror against parents, against siblings, against  their neighborhoods. Mothers and children molested. Elderly ignored. Rich trapping the poor with schemes to steal their wealth? Governments dishonoring their Creator. What kind of God would He be? If He didn’t get angry, really angry, what kind of God would He be?
We have a God who’s heart burns with rage at the injustices to His children. He cannot bring Himself to sit idly while suffering prevails. Instead of ignoring evil, He sends an ambassador with this portfolio:

· Wonderful Counselor
· Mighty God
· Everlasting Father
· Prince of Peace

The Republican Party, the Democratic party will one day end. God says His ambassador will represent a government that will never end.

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Luke 4:18, 19: Isaiah 61

I like this ambassador’s platform. I like His integrity, His character. I vote for Him today and forever!
